IVP leads $63m Series A for ZipRecruiter

ziprecruiterVenture capital firm Institutional Venture Partners (IVP) has led a $63m Series A round for ZipRecruiter, a hiring platform for SMEs.

Basepoint and Industry Ventures also participated in the round, which will enable the company to invest in product development, step up its marketing efforts and look at potential acquisitions.

ZipRecruiter, which was launched in 2010, is on track to exceed 100 per cent revenue growth this year and currently registers over 30,000 new employers monthly.

The company’s technology consolidates applicants from all sources into a single integrated list and provides a searchable resume database of over four million active job seekers.

IVP principal Eric Liaw said, “With 28 million SMBs estimated to employ approximately 50 per cent of the US workforce, we believe the market opportunity for ZipRecruiter is enormous and look forward to helping the company reach its goals.”

Earlier this year IVP launched a San Francisco satellite office to bring it closer to some of the most exciting startups in the US.
