Insight Venture Partners has made a $35.8m minority investment in software-as-a-service technology provider Mediaspectrum as the company looks to expand its global growth.
Insight managing director Peter Sobiloff and principal Cian Cotter will join Mediaspectrum’s board of directors following the investment.
The company’s software platform enables the integrated processing of advertising orders and campaigns, ad content flows, event processing, payment and information flows and analysis against a backdrop of evolving media channels and advertisement types.
Sobiloff said, “The need to reach customers and business partners with the right message via the right medium is critical to all businesses globally and represents a huge opportunity for Mediaspectrum.
“With Mediaspectrum’s expertise, momentum and rapid growth, we are excited to support management in growing the company’s market leadership.”
Last week Insight reportedly agreed to invest $100m in intellectual property management business Anaqua by buying out its existing investors.
The company was initially based in London but relocated to Boston in 2006 after receiving $4m of Series A financing from Northstar Global Partners.
Anaqua says its software helps companies grow and protect their intellectual property, including inventions, patents, trade secrets, brands and trademarks, and helps law firms improve their IP practices.
