Hermes Growth Partners leads $26m Series B for FuzeBox


dollar3_170sqGrowth equity firm Hermes Growth Partners has led a $26m Series B round for FuzeBox, which brought the total amount of funds raised by the online communication tools provider to $46m.

Existing investors Index Ventures, Khosla Ventures and Insight Venture Partners, which all participated in the company’s Series A, also backed the round.

The company simultaneously announced the appointments of former Yammer and executive David Obrand as CEO, Mary Pecka as chief customer officer, Georg Ell as vice president and general manager for EMEA and Jonathan Grant as vice president of finance.

Insight Venture Partners managing director Jeff Horing said, “Our global investing philosophy is focused on high-growth software companies with great products.

“FuzeBox has built a differentiated product that is well positioned to disrupt the business collaboration marketplace.

“Given their freemium experience at Yammer and, we are confident that David and the new management team will be able to grow and scale a global SaaS company.”

One of FuzBox’s backers, Insight Venture Partners, closed its eigth fund on $2.57bn in May this year.
