superevilGaming startup Super Evil Megacorp has raised $11.6m round led by General Catalyst, taking its fundraising total to more than $15m.

Another new investor, Raine Ventures, also participated in the round, which the company said will support its further expansion.

The company’s existing investors include Signia Venture Partners, CrossCut Ventures, Initial Capital and ZhenFund.

Super Evil Megacorp is currently preparing to launch its first title, Vainglory, which is currently in limited release.

The company said, “We couldn’t be more excited about our trajectory to date, and today’s announcement gives us further tools to pursue our dreams.

“It allows us to take the very long view of the evolution of touch-screen gaming and to build Super Evil Megacorp and Vainglory with decades (rather than months) in mind.”
