Foundry Group leads Series B round for Crowdtap

ecommerceFoundry Group has led a $5m Series B funding round for social influence marketing platform Crowdtap, which saw revenue growth of over 300 per cent last year.

Tribeca Venture Partners, Alta Communications and The Mustang Group also participated in the round, which will support the company’s regional business development in the US.

Crowdtap’s software-as-a-service platform helps marketers influence conversations about brands across social media.

The company’s customers include major brands such as Verizon, P&G, Nestle, Kraft, Campbell’s, Reckitt-Benckiser, Clorox, AT&T and Sony.

Crowdtap CEO Brandon Evans said, “Marketers now understand the importance of creating quality content that can influence social conversations, as reflected by our phenomenal SaaS license growth, as well as the acquisition activity in the space.

Last November Foundry co-led an $11.1m round for hardware startup littleBits alongside True Ventures.
