hanwha_cell_170_170South Korean solar specialist Hanwha Group has signed a deal with Canadian investor Fiera Axium Infrastructure to build a multi-site photovoltaic plant in Ontario.

The Ontario Solar Photovoltaic Farm will be spread across four locations and will have a combined capacity of 42.5MW, Bloomberg reported.

Toronto-based private equity firm Fiera Axium invests across the energy, transportation and social infrastructure sub-sectors.

The project will deploy panels produced by Hanwha in Ontario with construction expected to begin next month.

Last August, the Korean industrial group bought out Q Cells, which from its base in Germany had grown to come the world’s largest solar cell manufacturer.
