EQT Ventures has led a €6.5m Series A financing round for German remote desktop business AnyDesk after discovering the business using its AI platform Motherbrain.
Angel investors including Chris Hitchen and existing backer Andreas Burike also took part in the funding round, which will be used for product innovation and growing the technical and commercial teams.
Motherbrain was developed by EQT and is used by EQT Ventures to discover promising companies and guide its investment decisions.

AnyDesk has already secured more than 7,000 business customers and has been downloaded by more than 50 million users worldwide.
