EDG Partners picks up life science industry software provider MMIS


life science test tube_sqUS private equity firm EDG Partners has bought life sciences analytics and transparency business MMIS to help the company expand its global offerings.

MMIS offers software including a global compliance platform to allow organisations to comply with global transparency laws, analyse data and communicate with healthcare providers around the world.

It also offers standalone tools for validating CMS submissions and understanding spending data and business impact.

EDG co-founder and managing director Stephen Eaton said, “MMIS is a dynamic and well positioned company led by its very capable co-founders, Michaeline Daboul, CEO, and Tim Robinson, Esq., the Chief Knowledge Officer.

EDG closed its second fund on about $177m in 2012, beating its original target.
