Dell Ventures joins VC-backers in software storage company Nexenta

binary-code-1-1159613-mDell Ventures has reportedly invested in software-related storage company Nexenta Systems.

Dell president Marius Haas mentioned the investment on stage this week at a tech conference hosted by Nexenta on Thursday, according to Dow Jones.

Last February AltAssets reported that venture capital firm Four Rivers Group led an oversubscribed $24m Series D round for Nexenta.

Existing investors also taking part in the round included Menlo Ventures, Javelin Ventures, Translink Capital, Sierra Ventures, Razor’s Edge Ventures and West Summit Capital.

Dell launched a $300m venture capital fund to target sectors including storage, cloud computing, big data, data centres, security and mobility in December last year.
