The company, which attempts to connect tech workers with full-time jobs at more than 700 companies in San Francisco and New York, also received backing from SoftTech VC and Sherpa Ventures.
It claims the typical candidate on hired receives between 10 and 15 offers in just seven days, after which their profile is removed and no longer accessible to employers.
CEO Matt Mickiewicz said, “The size of the round, led by insiders, reflects the tremendous traction that Hired has gotten in its short existence.
“We’ve arranged over 1,000 interviews in the last month alone, our NYC office reached profitability within 60 days of its pre-launch phase, and we are fielding applications from upwards of 8,000 Software Engineers per month of which just the top 5 per cent are selected.
“We’ve experienced unprecedented growth in 2014 and will use this capital to expand our service offerings and expand geographically.”
