Crosslink Capital leads $25m round for Personal Capital


payment_lrgCrosslink Capital led a $25m Series C funding round for digital wealth management specialist Personal Capital, which has doubled its assets and client base this year.

Crosslink and asset manager BlackRock are new investors in the company, which is also backed by investors venture and growth capital firm Institutional Venture Partners and the Rockefeller’s venture arm Venrock.

Crosslink Capital general partner Jim Feuille said, “We look for large markets undergoing disruptive transitions, and make long-term bets.

“Personal Capital is the tip of the spear that will drag the investment management industry into the 21st century.”

Personal Capital, which is led by former PayPal CEO Bill Harris, currently tracks more than $20bn of assets daily.

Late last year Crosslink led a $27m financing round for cloud based mobile customer services software company ServiceMax.
