software binary code computerPrivate equity firm Court Square Capital Partners has bought a majority stake in software company AFS Technologies, which serves the consumer packaged goods sector.

Court Square said the investment will provide funds for growth and future acquisitions.

AFS was previously backed by Goldman Sachs’ Private Capital, which has exited its stake after a holding period of over two years.

During Goldman’s ownership, AFS expanded its geographical reach and completed six bolt-on deals.

The company’s other backers include ABRY partners, which provided acquisition capital in 2012.

last year AltAssets reported that Court Square had raised more than $2.5bn towards its third buyout vehicle, putting it close to its $3bn target.
