Security platform Cyberpion has closed a venture capital-led seed round on $8.25m to help it increase its sales and marketing efforts.
Team8 Capital and Hyperwise Ventures co-led the investment, which the company said would be used to expand product development efforts.
Cyberpion aims to help security teams identify and neutralise threats stemming from vulnerabilities within online assets throughout an enterprise’s ecosystem.
Its technology continuously performs a security assessment to find any vulnerabilities within assets and connections.
Hyperwise Ventures managing partner Nathan Shuchami said, “Attacks on external digital assets of enterprises are becoming a prominent vector for sophisticated cyber criminals.
“In the face of hackers finding vulnerabilities in new and wider attack surfaces, Cyberpion offers unparalleled detection and protection capabilities, providing comprehensive security across the organization’s entire online ecosystem.
“Hyperwise Ventures is thrilled to co-lead the seed funding round in Cyberpion.”
Other venture capital-backed cybersecurity investments this month include intelligence-driven managed security services company deepwatch closing its Series B round on $53m to help it increase its research and development efforts.
