Comvest Partners invests $16m in cloud software company Egenera


egenera cloudComvest Partners has made a $16m investment in converged infrastructure and cloud management software maker Egenera.

The company said it planned to use the new capital for product development and to back its go-to-market strategy.

Comvest managing director Dan Lee said, “Egenera’s technology is unique within the cloud management space putting them in a position to take a significant share of the market.

“We are excited to invest in the future growth of this company, and feel they have the proven executive team and technology for success.”

AltAssets revealed in April that Comvest Partners was seeking $350m for its third debt fund, AltAssets has learned.

Paxstone Capital is acting as a placement agent for Comvest Capital III.
