It is the largest amount raised in a single round of funding for a platform development company, which has pulled in a total of $82m via the three rounds.
Xamarin said it will use the new funding to expand its mobile app development platform and cloud services to solve problems for all mobile developers throughout the app lifecycle.
Veteran US early-stage investment firm Charlies River revealed it had pulled in $393m for its sixteenth fund in July this year.
The firm was one of three venture capital funds to back a $10m financing round for Refresh, a mobile app which provides an instant information dossier on people last year.
