CEE-focused Abris to sell 56% Alumetal stake in Warsaw IPO


aluminiumCentral and Eastern Europe-focused private equity firm Abris is reportedly looking to exit its 56 per cent stake in Poland’s Alumetal through a Warsaw IPO.

The aluminium parts maker could be worth between about $66m and $165m through the listing according to Reuters, which cited unnamed sources.

Abris has confirmed its plans to sell its stake through the IPO, which it expects to occur at the end of the second quarter or beginning of the third.

The company processes about 150,000 tonnes of scrap aluminium each year, with most converted into components for the vehicle industry.

It had EBITDA of about $17m in the first quarter of 2014 on sales of about $102m.
