Bonotel works with a network of more than 2,200 hotel partners and provides more than 1,500 international tour operators with electronic access to its offerings in the US, Canada and the Caribbean.
The private equity firm tapped its $1.1bn Carlyle Equity Opportunity Fund, which focuses on mid-market buyouts, for the deal.

Other Carlyle investments in the travel sector have included Brazil’s largest tour operator CVC Brasil, online travel agent Viator and student travel programme provider WorldStrides.
