Brockhaus Private Equity buys automobile parts company from Finatem

motor-parts-2-342617-mGermany private equity firm Brockhaus has bought J&S Automotive Technology from fellow PE firm Finatem.

It is the first deal to be announced from Brockhaus’ Fund III.

Brandenburg-based J&S develops and manufacturers passive safety components and shielding plates for the international automotive industry. Its customers include Volkswagen, BMW, Porsche and Daimler.

The company was founded in 1990 and posted a turnover of approximately €43m in 2013.

Finatem partner Eric Jungblut said, “J&S Group has developed very positively in recent years and now has an excellent market position within its niche.”

Technology focused Brockhaus sold semiconductor technology manufacturer ATT Advanced Temperature Test Systems to Nasdaq-listed Cascade Microtech for €8.4m last October.
