Bridges Ventures adds Alina Homecare to portfolio

14 May 2014

care-home5_sqUK investment firm Bridges Ventures has acquired home care business Alina Homecare in the fourth deal from its recently closed £125m fund.

Alina provides various care services in southern England.

Bridges Ventures partner Garret Turley said, “Demographic trends in the UK are placing increased demand on the current healthcare infrastructure and the need for more high quality home care services is growing fast.

“The highly fragmented sector is undergoing a period of consolidation and we believe that Alina’s ambitious growth plans and experienced management team, makes the firm expertly placed to provide best-in-class home care.”

Last October Bridges raised £125m for its Sustainable Growth Fund III, exceeding its £100m target.

The firm’s previous fund closed on £75m in 2007, while its first vehicle garnered £40m in 2002.
