Brazil’s HSI to sell logistics, industrial portfolio


Brazilian real estate investor Hemisferio Sul Investimentos (HSI) is to sell its logistics and industrial portfolio to Asian industry group Global Logistic Properties, according to Reuters.

The firm’s assets include Logistics Centre Brazil, is the largest developer of logistics and industrial enterprises in the country.

HSI’s private equity funds focus primarily on Brazil’s housing market, acquiring and developing assets in areas such as shopping centers, logistics and industrial sheds, commercial buildings and residential subdivisions.

Over the past seven years, the firm has invested over BRL4bn ($1.4bn) in more than 60 assets, totaling 1.4 million square feet and a further 1.5 million square feet under development.
