Bessemer, CRV back new photography venture Light in $9.7m Series A

camera 3d photoEarly stage investment firms Bessemer Venture Partners and CRV have ploughed $9.7m into Light, a team of creative technologists who say they are on a mission to “reimagine the art and science of photography”.

The company was co-founded by former Vlingo CEO Dave Grannan and ex-Flarion Technologies CTO Rajiv Larioa.

Vlingo powered speech recognition on the first Siri app.

Earlier this week Bessemer invested $15m of Series D capital in cloud-based construction management software provider Procore Technologies.

The company said it will use the funds to expand its suite of mobile and web-based tools for managing construction projects.
