Growth capital firm Beringea has made a £1.25m Series A investment in UK big data services company Big Data Partnership.
Big Data Partnership provides vendor-agnostic big data consulting, training and support for diverse industries including web, financial services, telecoms, utilities, defence and media. Trevor Hope, CIO, Beringea, said, “Big data is a widely used term; although most organisations appreciate its potential promise they still face adoption and deployment challenges. Demand for big data skills continues to outstrip supply and Big Data Partnership is one of the few companies addressing this gap and offering a legitimate way to push industry forward.”
Hope will join Big Data Partnership’s board.
Beringea launched its first VCT in 1996 and founded a new debt-based growth finance business last year with the appointment of Mark Taylor, founder Europe’s first venture debt business, EVP.
