Balderton, Point Nine back content management specialist Contentful

data2_lrgVenture investors Balderton Capital and Point Nine Capital have provided seed funding for content management specialist Contentful, enabling it to launch a new beta programme.

Contentful provides a cloud-based service that allows content to be distributed across any device, application, or platform, with one single input.

The company has also established a global advisory board of content and technology specialists including former Atlas Capital partner Alexander Bruehl and chief digital officer at BBC Worldwide Daniel Heaf.

Balderton Capital partner Roberto Bonanzinga said, “A revolution in content is happening right now; how it is managed and consumed is changing forever.

“Contentful embraces this transformation and I am excited to be working with Sascha and his exceptional team to become the engine behind the future of content.”

Last month Balderton led a $13.4m funding round for social platform Urturn, which calls itself the next natural step for social media.
