AXA PE in talks to by antibacterial liquid maker Anios from Air Liquide


anios bacteriaAXA Private Equity is reportedly in talks to buy Air Liquide’s Anios healthcare unit in a deal which could be worth €350m.

Anios, which makes antibacterial liquids for healthcare and industrial use, had revenues of €160m in 2010 according to Reuters.

It cited a report by French newspaper Les Echos.

AXA PE, which spun out from French insurer AXA earlier this year, last month entered exclusive negotiations with IT technology group NTT Communications over the firm’s sale of a majority stake in Arkadin.

The sale of a 91.2 per cent stake in Arkadin, the world’s third-largest collaboration service provider, will be implemented after the necessary notification and consultation with the relevant works council, AXA said.

The management of Arkadin will reinvest alongside NTT.
