Adelis agrees Med Group exit to European trade player Colosseum Dental, Trakeda

Adelis Equity Partners has agreed to sell Finnish care and healthcare services company Med Group to European dental chain Colosseum Dental and the Trakeda co-operative.

The private equity house picked up a majority in Med Group in 2014, and has since seen it more than double turnover to €100m.

Med Group now works across ambulance services, dentistry and home services for the disabled and elderly.

Adelis partner Rasmus Molander said, “We are grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Med Group to contribute to solving the challenges facing the care and healthcare sectors in Finland.

“Together with management we have developed a leading player, in terms of quality and size, in the niches we have chosen to focus on.”

Nordic private equity firm Adelis closed its second fund on its €600m hard cap last summer, just three months after launching.

Fund II outstripped the €420m it gathered in 2013 for its debut fund, which has invested in companies in Sweden, Denmark and Finland.
