Accel heads up $10m Series B round for online security company Aorato

internet security online keyboardGlobal venture capital firm Accel Partners has co-led a $10m Series B financing round for online security business Aorato.

The company, which was forged out of the cyber security unit of the Israeli Defense Forces, has just launched a new firewall which monitors patterns of regular traffic to identify anomalies and potential threats.

Imperva and Trusteer co-founder Mickey Boodaei also took part in the round alongside fellow Trusteer co-founder Rakesh Loonkar, Eric Schmidt’s Innovation Endeavors and Glilot Capital Partners.

Accel partner Kevin Comolli said, “Accel is excited to be partnering with a world-class team building a pioneering product.

“Aorato’s Directory Services Application Firewall is a unique solution for a very important part of enterprise infrastructure, and the founders’ cyber-security expertise is second to none.”
