21 Aug 2014

dollar stakeFund of funds manager Aberdeen SVG has reportedly sold a stake in its Carlyle feeder fund.

SVG has sold a stake in its €120m feeder fund Aldwych raised earlier this year to invest in vehicles managed by private equity firm Carlyle, said Secondaries Investor.

The feeder fund has acquired stakes in Carlyle Europe Partners IV, Carlyle Partners V and Carlyle Europe Partners III.

In July this year Aberdeen SVG held a first close for its ninth diversified fund of funds on $110m.

The fund of funds vehicle will be primarily used to invest in 10 to 15 private equity buyout vehicles, with 10 per cent allocated either to venture, debt or special situation funds.

The firm said it may also opportunistically invest in secondary private equity interests.
