One Equity Partners, the private equity arm of investment bank JP Morgan, will acquire 11 million shares, representing a 66 per cent stake, in Constantia Packaging. The deal is valued at €427.4m.
Constantia Packaging is an Austria-based holding company that invests in medium-sized industrial and related services companies.
The stake in the company was previously owned by Constantia, a Netherlands-based producer and seller of packaging products. Constantia has retained a definite 25 per cent share.
OEP intends to acquire up to 75 per cent of Constantia Packaging’s shares in total.
Established in 2001, OEP manages $8bn of investments and commitments for JPMorgan.
