European private equity firm Silverfleet Capital has hired Annette Wilson from Palamon Capital Partners as head of investor relations.
Wilson, pictured, was previously a managing director at Palamon before moving to running in its IR and marketing operations.
Prior to that she worked in the insurance industry, holding management roles at Sedgwick Group, and formerly worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Silverfleet managing partner Neil MacDougall said, “Investor relations in a private equity firm has become increasingly important and we believe it is now time for Silverfleet Capital to create a dedicated investor relations function.
“We are not alone in recognising this trend and there are relatively few experienced individuals available in this field.
“We are therefore very pleased that Annette has decided to join us. We have had a very active year in 2013 and expect this to continue in 2014 so we have plenty to keep our investors updated on.”
Silverfleet Capital agreed three new transactions during 2013, most recently the purchase of Competence Call Center Holding.
AltAssets reported earlier today that Palamon had re-hired Antony Barker as director of investor relations and marketing.
Barker joined from global placement agent Campbell Lutyens and DMC Partners, where he was an investor relations associate based in London.
He previously spent five years at Palamon working across the breadth of investor relations and marketing activities.
