Bahrain-based investment house Investcorp has strengthened its European team by adding four corporate investment advisory directors.
The firm’s new directors include chairman and CEO of Scandinavian smoothie maker Froosh, S&E Partners managing partner Joan Julià Dinarès, AnimA Associates founder Guy Leymarie and GL Education Group chairman Philip Walters.
Investcorp’s advisory directors in Europe help the firm assess potential investment opportunities and supporting portfolio company management.
Head of Investcorp’s European corporate investment team Hazem Ben-Gacem said, “Their collective knowledge and experience will be invaluable to Investcorp, as we continue to seek to identify and execute a steady flow of attractive investment opportunities and actively support our portfolio company management teams to build world-class businesses.”
Last month it was reported that Investcorp had scrapped talks to buy a majority stake in Italian fashion business Roberto Cavalli.
The clothing design business contacted Investcorp a potential deal in May, but the firm was unwilling to meet its €450m asking price, according to a Reuters report.
