Oak Capital backs listed mobile game designer KLab with $6.6m


Lord of The Dragons KLabJapanese private equity firm Oak Capital has reportedly invested $6.6m in mobile game designer KLab.

The Tokyo-listed company, which was formed in 2000, develops social games including Lord of The Dragons and Flyshot Golf.

KLab will use the capital to attempt to expand its business globally according to AVCJ.

Earlier this month KDDI Open Innovation Fund became the latest backer of a JPY230m ($2.2m) investment in Japanese game developer Mutations Studio.

CyberAgent Ventures invested in the business in September, while entertainment company FuRyu injected capital in February as part of the same financing round.
