KRG Capital Partners has made its fourth platform investment in the healthcare sector via the recapitalisation of Flexpoint Ford portfolio company Home Solutions Holdings.

The company, which was founded in 1996, provides home infusion therapy services throughout the north eastern and mid-Atlantic regions of the US.

Flexpoint Ford completed a combination and recapitalisation of the company with American Infusion Holdings in 2007, merging both companies under the Home Solutions name.

The latest deal was KRG’s thirteenth purchase of a platform company from its $1.96bn fourth fund, which it closed in 2007 and is almost fully invested.

KRG managing partner Steve Neumann said, “We believe the company is well positioned to take advantage of considerable opportunities, both within its existing customer base, geographies, and industry verticals, as well as through the penetration of new markets.

“Across the country the demand is high for quality providers of home infusion services as cost-containment pressures continue to drive a shift from institutional care to the home environment.”

Earlier this year KRG hired a new vice president and made four internal promotions as it prepared to begin fundraising for its fifth investment vehicle.

E Sue Cho was brought into the 16-year-old firm as vice president while Michael Barkin, Colton King and Bennett Thompson were promoted to principal.

Damon Judd was also raised to managing partner by the firm.
