Retired CEO of Macquarie emerges at PE firm Anchorage

Ex-CEO of Macquarie Group, the Australian investment banking firm, Alan Moss has emerged at Anchorage Capital Partners, a special situations-focused private equity firm based in Sydney. Moss, who has come out of retirement to take the role, will act as a special advisor to Anchorage’s investment committee.

Moss worked for Macquarie for 31 years, serving as CEO for his last 15 years with the company until he retired last year.

He is also the principal of his private investment company Alan Moss Investments.

Last month, Anchorage acquired Burger King’s New Zealand franchise from Tasman Pacific Foods.

Anchorage focuses on special situations in the Australian and Asian markets.
