Polaris Private Equity caps active year with four promotions

19 Dec 2012

Polaris Private Equity has brought the most active year in the Nordic mid-market buyout house’s history to a close with the announcement of four new promotions.

Peter Maigaard, Rune Gornitzka and Martin Bang-Löwgren, pictured, have all been promoted to director, while Simon Wille has been promoted to investment manager.

The promotions mark the end of a year in which Polaris made five new platform investments and a further seven add-on deals, as well as the exits of Skamol and Fiskarhedenvillan.

“Each of the four individuals has demonstrated strong performance and enormous commitment during their time at Polaris and I am delighted that they will continue to play a key role in our firm’s ongoing success over the coming years,” said Polaris managing partner Jan Johan Kühl.

Maigaard has been a member of the Polaris team since 2000, joining from Tarconordm, while Gornitzka joined the firm in 2005 following spells at Capitellum Corporate Finance and TDC, Denmark’s largest telecoms company.

Bang-Löwgren has been at the firm since 2009 and previously worked at the Boston Consulting Group and Coloplast, and Wille was with AP Møller Mærsk before joining Polaris in 2010.
