Private equity placement and marketing firm De Luna Partners has hired experienced fundraising and institutional investor specialist Michael Barratt as a partner.
Barratt has spent more than 28 years in the industry, most recently helping to build a $3.5bn private equity platform as managing director for private equity at Mesirow Financial in Chicago.
That platform included private equity fund of funds, direct and co-investment partnerships.
Barratt had also led the business development and fundraising efforts within Mesirow’s private equity department since2004.

Barrett joins a senior team currently comprising de Luna and Sara Mongerson.
