The Ontario Teachers Pension Plan has named Bogdan Cenanovic interim leader of the telecom, media and technology team to replace Glen Silvestri.
Silvestri left Canada’s largest pension fund in late July to pursue other opportunities, said the Globe and Mail.
Cenanovic, pictured, joined Teachers’ Private Capital in 2009 after working in the private equity and investment banking industries for ten years.
He previous served as principal at venture capital firm TorQuest Partners and vice president of EdgeStone Capital Partners. Early in his career, he worked as an investment banker at Lehman Brothers and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette.
In April Ontario teachers revealed that saw better returns from its private equity investments in 2012 than in the previous year, while its total net asset value reached a record C$129.5bn.
