Babu, pictured, previously served as head of US operations for Stockholm-based social gifting startup Wrapp.
He co-founded Rypple, a social performance platform acquired by www.salesforce.com and subsequently relaunched as Work.com.
Babu also spent nine years at Blackberry maker Research In Motion.
In his new role Babu will be responsible for investing in the technology, media and telecommunications sectors with a focus on human-computer interfaces, hardware platforms and mobile and enterprise software.
