Miriam Schmitter joins Commonfund Capital as director


schmitterInvestment management firm Commonfund Capital has hired former managing director of Cambridge Associates Miriam Schmitter as a director in its London office.

Schmitter, pictured, will be focused on research and investments in private equity, venture capital and natural resources.

She previously served as managing director and head of international private equity research at investment consulting firm Cambridge Associates.

Schmitter has also worked as an investment manager for Allianz Private Equity Partners and an investment professional at Deutsche Bank’s DB Capital Partners.

Commonfund Capital president Donald Pascal said, “We are most fortunate to have someone with Miriam’s global private capital experience join our team.

“She expands our global investment team’s depth as we further build portfolios of primary funds, co-investments and targeted secondary investment opportunities for our clients. Miriam is an experienced professional and terrific addition to our team.”

Earlier this year Commonfund appointed Cari Lodge as managing director to support its growth within the secondaries space.
