Mining-focused private equity firm Centurion Resource Group (CRG) has added mineral valuation expert Bernard Guarnera has joined as a partner.
Guarnerahas more than 45 years experience in valuation of mineral properties, economic geology and deal structuring within the international mining industry. His valuation expertise spans all commodities and geographic area with special emphasis on base and precious metals.
In 1991. Guarnera joined mining consulting companies Behre Dolbear Group, one of the premier, as a CEO and he currently serves as chairman of the Group. Hehas been involved in the valuation of some of the world’s largest mineral properties including Pebble property in Alaska, Oyu Tolgoi deposit in Mongolia and Newmont Gold Corporation’s acquisition targets.

The fund’s strategy is to target and acquire interests in both early stage development assets as well as more advanced ‘brownfield’ opportunities with experienced management teams. Consolidation of sector specific assets is also a significant part of the Fund strategy. A particular emphasis is on deals in North America, Central Asia and Latin America.

CRG’s Natural Resources Fund had its first closing in September 2013. .
