Leopard Capital has appointed Richard Intrator to its Cambodia office as a managing partner and chief investment officer following the resignation of Scott Lewis, who left the frontier markets investor to join Oryx Petroleum in Switzerland.
Leopard Capital Cambodia manages Cambodia’s first investment fund, the $34m Leopard Cambodia Fund, which was launched in 2008. Intrator will be based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Intrator has a long career in finance, private equity, management consulting, and operations.
Prior to joining Leopard Capital he was the executive in residence at Stamford International University, Thailand.
He has previously held senior roles with IMAX, Patriarch Partners portfolio company Petry Media, PaineWebber, Kidder, Peabody, & Co, and Booz, Allen & Hamilton.
Intrator’s past board memberships include The Lighthouse International, Juniper Content Corp, and Golden Books Family Entertainment.
“As the Leopard Cambodia Fund moves into its portfolio management phase, Richard’s long experience in operational management and strategic consulting makes him an invaluable addition to our team” said Douglas Clayton, founder and CEO of Leopard Capital Group.
Scott Lewis resigned as the firm’s CIO to become the head of corporate finance at Oryx Petroleum in Geneva, Switzerland, but remains a consultant partner of Leopard Capital.
