LDC, the private equity arm of state-backed Lloyds Banking Group, has bolstered its Yorkshire team with the addition of former Deloitte corporate financier Dale Alderson.
Alderson [pictured, centre] previously spent over six years in Deloitte’s corporate finance practice, where he led and delivered deals including MBOs, corporate sales and acquisitions, and distressed refinancings.
He also provided strategic advice relating to long-term growth plans, acquisition strategy and stakeholder management to a number of large corporate clients in the region.
He began his career at Ernst & Young in 2001, where he qualified as a chartered accountant.
His new role will see him work alongside senior director John Swarbrick [pictured, right] and fellow investment director Tony Norwood [pictured, left] in originating and structuring LDC’s investments in the region, as well as supporting its portfolio companies.
“This latest appointment further reiterates our commitment to attracting the region’s best talent to the firm and supporting the growth ambitions of high quality companies in Yorkshire,” said John Swarbrick, a senior director at LDC Yorkshire.
“Dale has a strong track record in originating and leading transactions of various types and sizes, and we are confident he will prove to be an invaluable member of the team.”
Last year, LDC invested over £360m in 18 new companies, as well as providing additional funding to existing portfolio businesses.
In March the firm’s Yorkshire office supported the MBO of travel management consultancy business TD Travel, while the firm’s portfolio company MB Aerospace also acquired Thomson Aero.
