Institutional investment adviser Commonfund has named Bradford Gallagher as its new chairman, succeeding Laurie Hoagland, who has retired after serving a 12-year term.
Commonfund also announced the retirement of Jeff Pippin from its board, again after serving a term of 12 years.
Gallagher has been member of the Commonfund board of trustee since 2005 and is most recently founder and president of investment group Spyglass Investments.
Verne Sedlacek, president &CEO of Commonfund , said, “He has already made valuable contributions to Commonfund’s management and oversight as a Trustee, and I know he will help us further our strategic mission on behalf of our clients.”
Commonfund manages $25bn for some 1,500 clients. In December it banked more than double its initial target of commitments for its fifth multi-strategy private equity and venture fund.
