Devor previously worked as a member of Thoma Bravo’s investment team, where he completed multiple platform and follow-on software buyout deals. He was responsible for vertical sourcing, operational and market due diligence, and arranging financing.
At Insight, Devor will be focused on leveraged buyouts and majority recapitalizations in the software sector.
His appointment came two months after Insight closed its eighth fund on $2.57bn, bringing the firm’s fundraising total since its launch in 1995 to $7.6bn. The new vehicle will make investments of up to $300m in growth stage and more mature companies.
The firm has already made three deals from the new fund by backing Kaseya, Anaqua and Media Spectrum.
Insight managing director Jeff Horing said, “We anticipate that Ross will be a key contributor to our deal team as Insight looks to invest our recently raised $2.57bn fund.
“His experience working with technology companies in investment transactions and M&A expands our existing capacity and we’re pleased to welcome him aboard.”
