Incline Equity poaches HIG Growth investment pro to help spend new $300m fund

John Morley Incline EquityIncline Equity Partners has lured HIG Growth Partners investment professional John Morley to the firm as a senior associate as it looks to continue spending its new $300m fund.

Morley, pictured, focused on structuring and executing private equity deals at HIG Growth, and was previously an associate with Sorenson Capital and associate consultant at Bain & Company.

He will go to work sourcing deals for Incline’s third fund, which it closed last month on $301.1m.

That vehicle marked its first fundraise since spinning out of Pittsburg financial services group PNC, and was the biggest it has raised having outstripped the $272m it collected for PNC Equity II in 2007.

Jack Glover, Wali Bacdayan and Justin Bertram formed Incline in 2011 after spending 14 years working together at PNC’s private equity arm, which raised its debut vehicle in 2001.

AltAssets revealed in June that the team was targeting the end of the month for a final close for Incline Equity Partners III.
