Hasso Plattner Ventures managing director Eran Davidson has stepped down after eight years with the German venture capital firm.
Davidson moved to German from Israel in 2005 when firm founder Hasso Plattner asked him to start and build the venture capital fund.
He has since served as its president and managing partner as well as vice chairman of Plattner Ventures Africa.
Davidson has been a managing director at Hasso Plattner Ventures since last year.
Hasso said in a statement, “With his excellent international network he helped to build a remarkable portfolio of companies and started an outstanding series of international conferences, the Hasso Plattner Forum on Entrepreneurship.
“The team of Hasso Plattner Ventures and Hasso Plattner Capital is grateful for the inspiring cooperation during the past years and wishes Eran the best for his new endeavours.”
Hasso Plattner’s portfolio companies include German e-commerce company reBuy reCommerce, which raised an expansion funding round earlier this year.
