Private equity firm HarbourVest Partners has hired Olav König as a managing director and head of client service for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
The firm said that König, who will be based in its London office, will help expand its relationships with investors and their advisers in the EMEA geographic region.
He is joining HarbourVest from placement agent Eaton Partners, where he worked as a partner and head of Europe.
König has also served as a managing director for business development for Capital Dynamics.
Managing director at HarbourVest George Anson said, “We are very pleased to have Olav join our team. He brings extensive experience of working with clients in private markets, and as investors work to navigate the post-AIFMD environment, that experience will be particularly valuable.”
Last month HarbourVest and other secondary investors agreed to buy the BT Pension Scheme’s €400m commitment to funds managed by Bridgepoint’s small cap arm, Bridgepoint Development Capital.
