NIck SolaroMidwest US venture investor Drive Capital has made yet another hire in the wake of closing its inaugural $250m fund by bringing in former Google exec Nick Solaro as a partner.

Solaro was previously responsible for building global strategic partnerships for the Android operating system while at Google.

Drive said the appointment was designed to accelerate its mobile technology investments.
