Private equity-focused investment bank Cogent Partners said its director Dominik Woessner has relocated from its London office to China to help develop its operations in Asia.
Since joining Cogent Partners in 2007, Woessner, pictured, has advised a number of institutional investors on sales of private equity fund interests. He has also worked with GPs to restructure existing private equity funds to generate liquidity for LPs.
Prior to joining Cogent, Woessner worked at investment firm Greenpark Capital and in KPMG’s transaction services unit.
Cogent managing partner Steven Sloan said, “Dominik has contributed significantly to the firm’s successful expansion in Europe.
“His experience will further enhance the firm’s ability to provide our clients with valuable market insight and expand our reach to institutional investors in Asia.”
Woessner said that the region “is becoming increasingly active with regards to secondary transactions, and I look forward to continuing to build out the firm’s relationships and working with our clients in Asia.”
Earlier this year Cogent opened an office in San Francisco to expand relationships with clients in the Western United States and Canada.
