Private equity major Carlyle has hired former Schroder Investment Management executive Curtis Johnson as a managing director in its Solutions unit.
Johnson, who previously served as Schoder’s director of US institutional business development, will be focused on sales and marketing for the Metropolitan Real Estate Equity Management, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The Solutions business also includes private equity fund of funds manager AlpInvest Partners and hedge investor Diversified Global Asset Management Corp.
Last year Carlyle hired Morgan Stanley Jacques Chappuis to lead the Solutions business.
In October 2013 AlpInvest closed its fifth fund on its $750bn hard cap, bringing its secondaries programme to $4.2bn.
