Boston-based venture capital firm .406 Ventures has promoted principal Greg Dracon to partner after six years at the firm.
Dracon has been involved with .406 investments including CloudHealth, EnergyHub Kaltura and Mashery.
Prior to .406 he was vice president at fellow venture firm Core Capital Partners, and previously spent more than eleven years in operating and management roles within the technology industry.

.406 closed its second fund just over its$175m target in December 2012.
The firm, which was established in 2006, focuses exclusively on early stage enterprise IT companies, with a particular focus on the IT security, healthcare IT and web infrastructure spaces.
