.406 Ventures promotes ex-Core Capital VP Greg Dracon to partner


Greg Dracon .406 VenturesBoston-based venture capital firm .406 Ventures has promoted principal Greg Dracon to partner after six years at the firm.

Dracon has been involved with .406 investments including CloudHealth, EnergyHub Kaltura and Mashery.

Prior to .406 he was vice president at fellow venture firm Core Capital Partners, and previously spent more than eleven years in operating and management roles within the technology industry.

Liam Donohue, a partner at the firm, said, “Maria, Larry and I were extremely fortunate to recruit Greg as a Principal back in 2007 and, based on his significant contributions to the growth and success of .406 Ventures over the past six years, we’re proud to recognize him as our partner.

.406 closed its second fund just over its$175m target in December 2012.

The firm, which was established in 2006, focuses exclusively on early stage enterprise IT companies, with a particular focus on the IT security, healthcare IT and web infrastructure spaces.
